  34 vain to eat a "dinner" of moldy bread and government cheese.  Yup, he is
  35 in hell.  He has not hurt ANYONE.  He is NOT GUILTY.  However, he was not
  36 willing to work with the men in black (to prosecute other people) and for
  37 that they feel he must be punished.  They could not intimidate him any
  38 further, so why not get themselves promoted by sacrificing him? Now, The
  39 Feds are trying to say that since Max missed a traffic court appearance he
  40 poses a "flight risk" and they set bail at $100k.  However, this is
  41 laughable since Max & I own nothing and our families are propertyless.
  42 There will be another hearing in San Jose tomorrow, which is why he needs
  43 your support.

  45 <P>Basically, the court workers want to hear as much as they can from people
  46 who know Max.  They want to hear other people say that they don't think he
  47 is going to flee the country, that he's a nice guy who likes puppies, etc.
  48 I suppose the fact that he has had years to flee the country if he chose,
  49 that he has been living in the bay area for 4 years, and that he has a
  50 wife, apartment and a pending dream job in Berkeley is not enough
  51 assurance. If you are willing to help Max in any way, please contact this

  59 money.  But I have to try to help Max in any way I can.  That's why I
  60 kicked the D.A. in the balls today.  I'll do it again tomorrow too if they
  61 don't let Max out.  But we would appreciate any non-violent help from you
  62 if you get the chance to call this Allen Lew guy before they make a
  63 recommendation to the judge for the 2pm hearing.  PLEASE give him a call
  64 tomorrow morning or leave a message for him if possible.  Max and I thank
  65 you for any and all efforts on his behalf.
