   1 Title: The 2025 LinuxCNC Norwegian developer gathering

   5 <p><a href="https://linuxcnc.org/">The LinuxCNC project</a> is
   6 trotting along.  And I believe this great software system for
   7 numerical control of machines such as milling machines, lathes, plasma
   8 cutters, routers, cutting machines, robots and hexapods, would do even
   9 better with more in-person developer gatherings, so we plan to
  10 organise such gathering this summer too.</p>

  12 <p>This year we would like to invite to a small LinuxCNC and free
  13 software fabrication workshop/gathering in Norway this summer for the
  14 weekend starting July 4th 2025.  New this year is the slightly larger
  15 scope, and we invite people also outside the LinuxCNC community to
  16 join.  As earlier, we suggest to organize it as an
  17 <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unconference">unconference</a>,
  18 where the participants create the program upon arrival.</p>

  20 <p>The location is a metal workshop 15 minutes drive away from to the
  21 Gardermoen airport (OSL), where there is a lot of space and a hotel only
  22 5 minutes away by car. We plan to fire up the barbeque in the evenings.</p>

  26 simple pad</a>, please add yourself there if you are interested in joining.</p>

  28 <p><a href="https://www.nuugfoundation.no/">The NUUG Foundation</a> has on
  29 our request offered to handle any money involved with this gathering,
  30 in other words holding any sponsor funds and paying any bills.
  31 NUUG Foundation is a spinnoff from the NUUG member organisation here
  32 in Norway with long ties to the free software and open standards
  33 communities.</p>
