5,
5" x
8.5" (det er ca.
140 sider i A4-format),
150 så jeg gjettet på
400 sider. Jeg tror originalutgaven har nesten
400
151 sider. For
169*
2 eksemplarer snakker vi om en trykkekostnad på
152 ca.
2000 EURO, dvs. ca
15 000 NOK. Det burde være mulig å finne en
153 sponsor for å dekke en slik sum. I tillegg kommer distribusjon og

179 <a href=

181 happy to share his answers with you here.
</p>
183 <p><strong>Who are you, and how do you spend your days?
</strong></p>
185 <p>I'm a
44 year old country guy that have been working
12 years at
186 the same school as
50% IT-manager and
50% Teacher. My educational
187 background is fil.kand in history and religious beliefs, an exam as a
188 "folkhighschool" teacher, that is, for teaching grownups. In
189 Norwegian I believe it's called "Vuxenupplaring". I also have a master
190 in "Technology and social change". So I'm not really a tech guy, I
191 just like to study how humans and technology interact and that is my
192 perspective when working with IT.
</p>
194 <p><strong>How did you get in contact with the Skolelinux/Debian Edu
195 project?
</strong></p>
197 I have followed the Skolelinux project for quite some time by
198 now. Earlier I tested out the K12-LTSP project, which we used for some
199 time, but I really like the idea of having a distribution aimed to be
200 a complete solution for schools with necessary tools integrated. When
201 K12-LTSP abandoned that idea some years ago, I started to look more
202 seriously into Skolelinux instead.
204 <p><strong>What do you see as the advantages of Skolelinux/Debian
207 The big point of Skolelinux to me is that it is a complete
208 distribution, ready to install. It has LDAP-support, MS Windows
209 integration tools and so forth already configured, saving an
210 administrator a lot of time and headache. We were using another Linux
211 based thin-client system called Thinlinc, that has served us very
212 well. But that Skolelinux is based on VNC and LTSP, to me, is better
213 when it comes to the kind of multimedia used in schools. That is
214 showing videos from Youtube or educational TV. It is also easier to
215 mix thin clients with workstations, since the user settings will be the
216 same. In our VNC-based solution you had to "beat around the bush" by
217 setting up a second, hidden, home-directory for user settings for the
218 workstations, because they will be different from the ones used on the
219 thin clients. Skolelinux support for diskless workstations are very
220 convenient since a school today often need to use a class room
221 projector showing videos in full screen. That is easily done with a
222 small integrated media computer running as a diskless workstation. You
223 have only two installs to update and configure. One for the thin
224 clients and one for the workstations. Also saving a lot of time. Our
225 old system was also based on Redhat and CentOS. They are both very
226 nice distributions, but they are sometimes painfully slow when it
227 comes to updating multimedia support and multimedia programs (even
228 such as Gimp), leaving us with a bit "oldish" applications. Debian is
231 <p><strong>What do you see as the disadvantages of Skolelinux/Debian
234 <p>Debian is a bit too quick when it comes to updating. As an example
235 we use old HP terminals as thinclients, and two times already this
236 year (
2012) the updates you get from the repositories has stopped
237 sound from working with them. It's a kernel/ALSA issue. So you have
238 to be more careful properly testing the updates before you run them in
239 a production environment. This has never happened with CentOS.
</p>
241 <p>I also would like to be able to set my own domain-settings at
242 install time. In Skolelinux they are kind of hard coded into the
243 distribution, when it comes to LDAP and at least samba integration.
244 That is more a cosmetic/translation issue, and not a real problem.
245 Running MS Windows applications within the Skolelinux environment needs
246 to be better supported. That is, running them seamlessly via RDP, and
247 support for single-sign on. That will make the transition to free
248 software easier, because you can keep the applications you really
249 need. No support will make it impossible if you work in a school where
250 some applications can't be open source. As for us we really need to
251 run Adobe InDesign in our journalist classes. We run a journalist
252 education, and is one of the very few non university ones that is ok:d
253 by Svenska journalistförbundet (Swedish journalist association). Our
254 education gives the pupils the right of membership there, once they
255 are done. This is important if you want to get a job.
</p>
257 <p>Adobe InDesign is the program most commonly used in newspapers and
258 magazines. We used Quark Express before, but they seem to loose there
259 market to Adobe. The only "equivalent" to InDesign in the opensource
260 world is Scribus, and its not advanced enough. At least not according
261 to the teacher. I think it would be possible to use it, because they
262 are not supposed to learn a program, they are supposed to learn how to
263 edit and compile a newspaper. But politically at our school we are not
264 there yet. And Scribus lacks a lot of things you find i InDesign.
</p>
266 <p>We used even a windows program for sound editing when it comes to
267 the radio-journalist part. The year to come we are going to try
268 Audacity. That software has the same kind of limitations compared to
269 Adobe Audition, but that teacher is a bit more open minded. We have
270 tried Ardour also, but that instead is more like a music studio
271 program, not intended for the kind of editing taking place in a radio
272 studio. Its way to complex and the GUI is to scattered when you only
273 want to cut, make pass-overs, add extra channels and normalise. Those
274 things you can do in Audacity, but its not as easy as in Audition. You
275 have to do more things manually with envelopes, and that is a bit old
276 fashion and timewasting. Its also harder to cut and move sound from
277 one channel to another, which is a thing that you do frequently
278 because you often find yourself needing to rearrange parts of the
281 <p>So, I am not sure we will succeed in replacing even Audition, but we
282 will try. The problem is the students have certain expectations when
283 they start an education towards a profession. So the programs has to
284 look and feel professional. Good thing with radio, there are many
285 programs out there, that radio studios use, so its not as standardised
286 as Newspaper editing. That means, it does not really matter what
287 program they learn, because once they start working they still have to
288 learn the program the studio uses, so instead focus has to be to learn
289 the editing part without to much focus on a specific software.
</p>
291 <p><strong>Which free software do you use daily?
</strong></p>
293 <p>Myself I'm running Linux Mint, or Ubuntu these days. I use almost
294 only open source software, and preferably Linux based. When it comes
295 to most used applications its OpenOffice, and Firefox (of course ;)
298 <p><strong>Which strategy do you believe is the right one to use to
299 get schools to use free software?
</strong></p>
301 <p>To get schools to use free software there has to be good open
302 source software that are windows based, to ease the transition. But
303 it's also very important that the multimedia support is working
304 flawlessly. The problems with Youtube, Twitter, Facebook and whatever
305 will create problems when it comes to both teachers and
306 students. Economy are also important for schools, so using thin
307 clients, as long as they have good multimedia support, is a very good
308 idea. It's also important that the open source software works even for
309 the administration. It's hard to convince the teachers to stick with
310 open source, if the principal has to run Windows. It also creates a
311 problem if some classes has to use Windows for there tasks, since that
312 will create a difference in "status" between classes, so a good
313 support for running windows applications via the thin client (Linux)
314 desktop is essential. At least at our school, where we have mixed
315 level of educations, from high-school to journalist-school.
</p>
317 <p>Update

657 <p>We appreciate the additional explanation you have provided and for
658 asking our permission to publish the electronic copy of the License in
659 advance of doing so. Typically, MPEG LA prefers to distribute the
660 electronic copies of our Licenses to interested parties. Therefore,
661 please feel free to send interested parties to the AVC portion of our
662 website, http://www.mpegla.com/main/programs/AVC/Pages/Intro.aspx for

665 <p>As previously mentioned, MPEG LA maintains a list of Licensees in good
666 standing on our website according to each program. Due to the large
667 volume of Licensees, it would be administratively impractical to

3. juli
2012.

</p>
</p>
</p>

</p>
</p>
922 <p>For ordens skyld vil vi orientere om at Medietilsynet har visse
923 tilsynsoppgaver knyttet til kapittel
3 i NTVs konsesjon for
925 pkt.
3.5 i denne konsesjonen går det bl.a. fram at NRKs
926 kjernetilbud/allmennkringkastingstilbud... «skal være tilgjengelig
927 uten betaling og ha lik dekning.» For distribusjon av innhold utenfor
928 NRKs tilbud er det ikke tatt inn noen tilsvarende forutsetning i
931 <p>Medietilsynets mandat omfatter ikke spørsmålet om kryptering og
932 administrasjon av engangsavgift knyttet til adgangskontrollsystem for
933 NTVs formidling, og tilsynet kan derfor ikke ta stilling til de
934 spørsmålene De reiser i tilknytning til det.
</p>
941 <br>Medietilsynet
</p>
944 <p>Her må det tydeligvis andre aktører i sving for å bli kvitt
945 krypteringen av Frikanalen.

962 <a href=
"http://www.fixmystreet.com/">FixMyStreet
</a> from
963 <a href=
"http://www.mysociety.org/">mySociety
</a>), we have discovered
964 a problem with the municipalities using
965 <a href=
"http://www.zimbra.com/">Zimbra
</a>. When FiksGataMi send a
966 problem report to the government, the email From: address is set to
967 the address of the person reporting the problem, while envelope sender
968 is set to the FiksGataMi contact address. The intention is to make
969 sure the municipality send any replies to the person reporting the
970 problem, while any email delivery problems are sent to us in NUUG.
971 This work well in most cases, but not for Karmøy municipality using
972 Zimbra. Karmøy is using the vacation message function in Zimbra to
973 send an automatic reply to report that the message has been received,
974 and this message is sent to the envelope sender and not the address in
975 the From: header.
</p>
977 <p>This causes the automatic message from Karmøy to go to NUUGs
978 request-tracker instance instead of to the person reporting the
979 problem. We can not really change the envelope sender address, as
980 this would make it impossible for us to discover when there are
981 problems with the MTAs receiving problem reports. We have been in
982 contact with the people at Karmøy municipality, and they are willing
983 to adjust Zimbra if something can be changed there to get a better
986 <p>The default behaviour of Zimbra is as far as I can tell according
987 to the specification in RFC
3834, which recommend that vacation
988 messages are sent to the envelope sender and not to the From: address.
989 But I wonder if it is possible to adjust or configure Zimbra to behave
990 differently. Anyone know? Please let us know at
