   5 <p>So, Sony caved in
   6 (<a href="https://twitter.com/RobLowe/status/545338568512917504">according
   7 to Rob Lowe</a>) and demonstrated that America lost its first cyberwar
   8 (<a href="https://twitter.com/newtgingrich/status/545339074975109122">according
   9 to Newt Gingrich</a>).  It should not surprise anyone, after the
  10 whistle blower Edward Snowden documented that the government of USA
  11 and their allies for many years have done their best to make sure the
  12 technology used by its citizens is filled with security holes allowing
  13 the secret services to spy on its own population.  No one in their
  14 right minds could believe that the ability to snoop on the people all
  15 over the globe could only be used by the personnel authorized to do so
  16 by the president of the United States of America.  If the capabilities
  17 are there, they will be used by friend and foe alike, and now they are
  18 being used to bring Sony on its knees.</p>

  20 <p>I doubt it will a lesson learned, and expect USA to lose its next
  21 cyber war too, given how eager the western intelligence communities
  22 (and probably the non-western too, but it is less in the news) seem to
  23 be to continue its current dragnet surveillance practice.</p>

  25 <p>There is a reason why China and others are trying to move away from
  26 Windows to Linux and other alternatives, and it is not to avoid
  27 sending its hard earned dollars to Cayman Islands (or whatever
  28 <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tax_haven">tax haven</a>
  29 Microsoft is using these days to collect the majority of its
  30 income. :)</p>
